Wedding Favors

What would YOU want to get as a wedding favor? Something good, cheap, practical. Maybe something edible? (no promise that we'll take your idea)

Honeymoon

How about honeymoon? Somewhere in the United States (minus Hawaii and Alaska). Also, no beaches or sandy places (I can't walk too well on sand post foot injury. Not stable enough.) We have free Southwest ticket vouchers, so maybe somewhere that Southwest flies to would work too. Probably not too much driving because we'll be too exhausted after the wedding. But driving might be okay too. We're thinking Sunday evening to Saturday morning... (5-6 days)

Appreciate your suggestions and involvement in our preparations for marriage. We're hoping to send wedding invitations by the end of the year... thank you for being patient!

On Saturday, August 6, 2008, Rebecca Kim, Jennifer Lee, John-Michael and I went to Santa Cruz to help babysit at the Couple's Retreat!  Then we stayed around at walked around Santa Cruz Boardwalk!

With the 14 tickets that we won, we traded them for 1 plastic gecko and 5 plastic jumping frogs!  We're trying to have a competition on the pool table.. hahahaa

Happy Birthday!!

My first assignment in Field Service shadowing is to help Solvay (located in Orange, Texas) to install their PI system...  I'm traveling with Dan Thompson and Rong Xu.

John-Michael picked me up to go to the airport and gave me a gift:

Thanks to Business Selete @ Southwest Airlines, I was A03 for the first time!!!

Got on the plane (that's me taking a photo of myself, trying to document "My First Business Trip")

And quickly took a nap.  When I woke up, we were approaching Houston, TX and this is what I see out the window

Sooooo green.  We were definitely no longer in California!

We picked up our rental car from Hertz and start driving to Orange, TX.

At Baytown (30 minutes from Houston William P. Hobby Airport), we stopped at Carino's Italian Restaurant and had lunch.

After another 1.5 hour, (Dan, thanks for driving, even though it's raining cats and dogs), we arrived at Holiday Inn Express Holte & Suites @ Orange, TX!

It's like this nice hotel in the middle of motels and I-10 freeway.

And my 2-Queen wheelchair accessible room (It was the only they they had left.)  They are all booked for tomorrow night, so I'll be staying at the Motel 8 across the street tomorrow and back to Holiday Inn Express Wed - Fri.

The toiletries display is sooo cute

Instead of the standard descriptions, they say wash (shampoo), tame (conditioner), freshen (mouthwash), cover (shower cap), soften (lotion), scrub (bath gel), and cleanse (soap).  Cute!

Tomorrow, we'll have complimentary breakfast, then driving 15 minutes to customer's site to work 8-5pm.  Well, at least that's the plan.  Will keep you posted and my first business trip.  Thank you all for praying!  Keep praying for me to be (1) an excellent worker (2) chance to share Christ (3) wisdom in using my time for wedding planning (4) seek first His Kingdom and righteousness and not forsake my personal time with Him who saves.
